Frac Site Operations Supervisor

Hi-Crush Partners LP (HCLP), a publicly traded industrial sand company is a leading domestic producer, supplier, and distributor of premium Northern White frac sand used to enhance recovery rates of oil and natural gas from hydraulic fracturing wells.

Position Summary

The position will be responsible for day-to-day frac site operations and site supervision of Hi-Crush LMS LLC employees and vendors. Additionally, the position is responsible for the on-time ordering and accurate delivery of proppant to the frac site according to customer specifications and contract requirements, in compliance with all safety and environmental standards.

Essential Functions Statement(s) – Site supervision
 Monitoring frac stages and demand, placing proppant orders, and ensuring trucking orders are timely planned and dispatched using PROPx software.
 Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of proppant to the frac site in accordance with customer contract.
 Monitoring containers and dispatching via PROPx the return of empty containers to the terminal sites.
 Establishing work plans and communicating to site team members.
 Supervising frac site team activities: coordinating arrival time for crew, preparing work area, coordinating belt set up and equipment placement and preloading for job.
 Ensuring job and order information is available to site team members using PROPx tracking devices.
 Ensuring PROPx system is utilized by site team members to track loading and unloading of proppant inventory within prescribed procedures and with 100% accuracy and attention to detail.
 Monitoring operations via PROPx system to limit site demurrage exposure.
 Examining orders delivered to verify conformance to specifications.
 Directing trucking personnel while at the well site.
 Notifying Basin Manager of container, belt, or equipment malfunctions or needed maintenance.
 Coordinating with Basin Manager any staffing needs or other needed goods and services.
 Working with carriers and vendors on site to direct equipment delivery, moves, and placement.
 Ensuring directives, rules and procedures are communicated to and followed by all site team members on site.
 Implementing and maintaining safety methods, practices and programs; maintaining a clean, professional and safe working environment.
 Maintaining a positive employee environment by adhering to all work rules.
 Maintaining compliance with company standards, procedures, and all applicable local, state and federal
regulatory requirements.
 Maintaining strong business relationships with key internal constituents in Sales, Transload Operations,
Safety/Environmental, and Shared Services.


 B.S. or B.A. preferred.
 7+ years’ experience, specifically in E&P frac site operations, inventory management and logistics
 Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
 Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office applications and in other menu driven programs
used by the company.
 Knowledge of various laws including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, etc. as well as regulations,
codes and standards as they relate to the industry.
 Forklift experience and certification.
 Able to work in field locations (away from home location) in basin for extended periods.

1. Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the site/facility.
2. Frequently climbs ladders and stairs.
Work Environment:
Work performed in a well site environment. Exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed
Personal Protective Equipment:
Safety glasses, hard hat and steel toe boots must be worn at all times.
Auditory and fall protection applicable when required.
