We are seeking frac site crew members for multiple shifts who can travel to sites in the Permian Basin, typically one to two hours from Midland/Odessa area. Openings are available for candidates with prior experience operating forklifts, conveyors and other equipment in the oilfield and drilling service sectors. 14 on/7 off schedule.

Responsibilities include unloading frac sand from specially designed containers into blender hoppers via an automated conveyor system.

POSITION SUMMARY

With limited supervision, responsible for conveyor belt and equipment operation at the frac site.

 





ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s) – Conveyor Belt Operations

 

1.     Monitors orders and schedules and reviews daily work plan with supervisor.

2.     Assists site crew with mobilization of conveyor systems.

3.     Monitors and controls automated conveyor belt system that conveys containers of sand to the well head for frac process.

4.  Presses buttons and turns dials to start conveyor system and regulate speed of conveyor system.

5. Observes containers moving on conveyors, or observes lights on control panel to monitor flow and operation of system.

6.   Stops equipment and clears jams, using hand tools.

7. Coordinates loading of containers to conveyor system with site supervisor and forklift operator. Coordinates removal of empty containers with site supervisor and forklift operator.

8. Observes operation to detect equipment malfunction and informs supervisor when malfunction occurs.

9. Ensures containers unloaded at well head are recorded accurately in Propx tracking system or manually logged.

10.  May perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment or inspect equipment prior to start-up and record equipment condition and any maintenance performed.

11.  Assist with general site housekeeping before leaving location.



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.


 Sufficient education to complete written documentation and records; or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics. Must be able to read and interpret work plans and orders, use simple math, and use basic hand held measuring tools.


 


Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of conveyor system operation or comparable experience along with prior experience operating small equipment, such as forklifts and skid steers. Previous oilfield or drilling site operations experience is preferred.

Basic maintenance skills (check fluids, filters, etc).

 

Basic computer skills required.

Certification and Licensing:

Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record within past five years for insurance carrier coverage.


Other Requirements:


Must be able to communicate effectively, using both written and spoken forms of communication. Must be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.  Must be willing to work any assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full time basis and be at least 18 years of age. Must have high safety standard for self and others. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.


 

Physical Demands:

Position requires carrying, pushing, pulling 75 pounds of weight from 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs./day)


 

Other Physical Requirements:

1.     Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the site/facility.

2.     Frequently lift 75 lbs. or more.

3.     Frequently climbs ladders and stairs.


Work Environment:


Work performed in a well site environment. Exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed outside.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Safety glasses, hard hat and steel toe boots must be worn at all times. Auditory and fall protection applicable when required.
