Financial Reporting Analyst

Reports to: Lead Financial Reporting Analyst

Location: Houston, TX

 Essential Requirements:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting schedules, including cash flows and partners’ capital statement.
  • Collaborate with accounting in the preparation of monthly internal reporting packages via business reporting software tool. Ensure that information is timely, accurate and relevant.
  • Participate in the preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, Section 16, etc.). Actively communicates with finance, in-house counsel, operations management and executive team to ensure SEC filing information is accurate, in compliance with all regulations, and prepared well in advance of relevant deadlines.
  • Provide Investor Relations and other departments support for financial information presented in press releases and investor/analyst presentations.
  • Assist with preparation of eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) in SEC filings.
  • Maintains internal control process flows and risk control matrices.  Serve as liaison with internal and external audit teams, while ensuring that all internal controls are being performed and documented on a timely basis.
  • Perform research, analysis and preparation of all technical accounting memos.
  • Prepare manual general ledger entries, primarily related to debt agreements and unit-based compensation.
  • Prepare quarterly debt compliance certifications.
  • Assisting with the preparation of other financial statements, such as the company’s 401(k) plan financial statements, and assist in the review or audit of the statements.
  • Prepare quarterly variance analysis of financial statements for internal use and for the external auditors
  • Reviews and verifies accuracy of an automated consolidation through ERP system.
  • Update, enhance and maintain the Hi-Crush accounting policy book.
  • Assist with implementation of unit-based compensation tool to track units and perform monthly journal entries.
  • Complete other projects as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Accounting
  • CPA license preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
  • MLP experience, a plus
  • 3-5 years accounting experience
  • Significant experience with SEC financial reporting and XBRL
  • Highly detailed oriented and organized
  • Excellent verbal and email communication skills
