The Position;
Reporting to the Underground Service & Support Team Lead, this role will see you join a small close-knit team within our Technical Service & Support Division of Hexagon Mining. Your role will see you provide customers with ongoing and proactive technical support and advice through regular communication.
This role is Perth CBD based with ad hoc site FIFO travel (35% in calendar year) As a Systems Specialist your duties will include the following, not limited to;
Technical
- Assist in product & service implementation, through support on installation/decommissioning or testing activities.
- Provide ongoing technical support & troubleshooting solutions to our customer challenges, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement/modifications through the lifecycle of a product.
- Partner with engineering and development teams to scope, test, and launch new products and features for our customers mine operational needs
Operational
- Monitor system reporting on customers operations, providing weekly reports.
- Performing quality assurance and control measures during the logistics period.
- Maintain, enhance, and adhere to Hexagon and client documentation and reporting standards, systems, processes, policies, and procedures, participating in audits when required.
Customer Service
- Act as a first point of contact to deliver investigations and diagnosis to provide optimal solutions
- Facilitate ongoing competency training and value education to customers on our technology suite.
- Case Management support: Act as a focal point across the service level agreement and to guide solutions, manage resolutions, discuss additional product integrations to optimise production.

Required
- Intermediate skills across Microsoft applications
- Intermediate skills/knowledge working with technology applications, operating systems
- Ability to build strong relations across diverse stakeholder group, internally and externally
- Adaptable and agile in changing environments
- Comfortable entering underground mines
- Car (C class) unrestricted (manual) driver’s licence
- Australia Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Valid Police Clearance or ability to gain such clearance
Desirable, not essential
- Prior Experience in Underground Mining, ideally within mining equipment technology
- High School Diploma/ Certificate IV in Information Technology or related field
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- First aid certificate – (desirable)
- Prior experience facilitating training sessions
- Ability to be customer focused and solution driven
