Purpose of Position:

We are looking for a skilled and seasoned Solutions Architect to be part of our dynamic and creative team. As a Solutions Architect focusing on the mining haulage domain, you will work under our Principal Solutions Architect. You will have a crucial role in creating and managing complex and innovative solutions to suit our clients' needs within our fleet management domain. This role demands a deep knowledge of both OT (operational technology) and IT (information technology), as well as a solid experience in defining/analyzing requirements, designing scalable and secure solutions, working with cross-functional teams, and integration.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Work with clients and internal stakeholders (including haulage subject matter experts) to learn their business needs and turn them into complete technical solutions. Create secure and observable solution architectures that cover software, hardware, data infrastructure, integration, and infrastructure issues.
• Act as the bridge between the business and the technology in every stage of the product and project lifecycle. Give direction and technical leadership to development teams, making sure they follow best practices, industry standards, architectural patterns, and guardrails.
• Be the expert in technologies for mining haulage. Keep track of the newest developments in the area and use them to design creative and effective solutions.
• Work with development teams to connect our fleet management solutions to existing platforms and systems. Create interfaces, APIs, and data workflows to facilitate smooth communication and data transfer.
• Analyze overlaps among our fleet management products and suggest possible ways to integrate them into a unified solution.
• Review deployment processes and define a roadmap to align with company best practices.
• Build strong relationships with clients (internal and external), acting as a trusted advisor. Conduct workshops, presentations, and meetings to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions. Proactively address client concerns and provide recommendations to optimize their technology landscape.
• Work with systems architects to produce detailed technical documentation, such as system architecture diagrams, system specifications, and implementation guidelines. Maintain the documentation current and available for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate and refine current solutions, finding ways to optimize, scale, and improve performance.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure seamless integration of solutions.
• Keep abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to mining and autonomous systems. Enhance our solutions with new innovations and provide thought leadership on future directions.
  
  

Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience as a Solutions Architect, designing and implementing complex technical solutions.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, software development methodologies, and cloud technologies (such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong understanding of data sharing, configuration, security and access control concepts
• Experience with machine learning
• Experience with microservices, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to guide and mentor team members.
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect, are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of positioning, telemetry, and on-vehicle technical constraints
• Understanding of the load and haul mining domain including material movement, loading and unloading processes, is a strong plus
• Experience with autonomous platforms is a plus
