Purpose of Position:

The Product Manager – Analytics is responsible delivering, and evolving Hexagon’s analytics strategic capabilities within the Insights and Data Platform portfolio. This role drives the creation of scalable, data‑driven solutions that improve the safety, productivity, and operational performance of mining customers.

This role works across product lines, engineering, consulting focused SmartCenters, and regional stakeholders to ensure the analytics strategy aligns with business goals, leverages high‑quality data, and produces reusable, globally scalable outcomes. This includes shaping product direction for ML‑powered features, developing product performance KPIs, and ensuring customer validation and business value realization through analytics.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Lead product strategy and roadmap development for analytics capabilities across the Insights platform, with alignment to broader portfolio goals.
  • Drive data‑driven decision‑making, ensuring analytics and ML value creating features emphasize accuracy, explainability, and scalable architecture from incubation to product delivery.
  • Define, prioritize, and refine analytics features and requirements, incorporating customer research, SME input, and market insights.
  • Support customer discovery activities, including interviews, validation sessions, prototype evaluations, and concept testing.
  • Establish and maintain product metrics and KPIs to guide performance measurement, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the development and proper application of SaaS pricing models, cloud cost monitoring, and consumption‑based analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including engineering, data science, UX, SmartCenters, and regional product specialists, to deliver high‑quality analytics features.
  • Manage executive and cross‑functional stakeholder alignment through clear communication of strategy, decisions, and tradeoffs.
  • Work closely with Product Specialists to transform regional needs into scalable analytics solutions while minimizing over‑customization.
  • Champion ethical AI/ML practices, data stewardship, and global privacy and governance standards.

Knowledge and Experience - Required:

  • Proven experience delivering analytics or data‑centric products to market leveraging SaaS pricing models, particularly with an AI outcome-based focus.
  • Strong background in analytics, data platforms, machine learning concepts, and modern cloud architectures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders across global regions.
  • Excellent product management skills, including roadmap ownership, prioritization frameworks, and value‑based analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

Knowledge and Experience - Desired:

  • Experience with mining operational systems such as fleet management or safety solutions.
  • Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and data discovery workflows.
  • Exposure to ML Ops, data governance, and ethical AI practices.
  • Experience collaborating with regionally distributed customer‑facing sales and technical teams.
  • Background in Agile product delivery methodologies.

Travel:

  • Up to 25% global travel.
