Purpose of Position:
Hexagon’s Mining division is looking for a Data Management Coordinator to join our team. We are a high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement. This position will be of interest to someone who thrives on seeing exciting projects through to completion while exercising proven planning, collaboration, technical leadership, and product development skills.
In this role, you will be responsible for the administration and coordination of various processes in the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system including Engineering Change Order (ECO), Temporary Deviation Notice (TDN), and Change Implementation Plan (CIP). You will also be responsible for formally communicating data to suppliers and customers.
A secondary responsibility for this position will be maintaining and analyzing Business Operations key performance indicators (KPIs).
Major Areas of Responsibility:
As a Data Management Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Provide change control guidance and coordination for production datasets and documentation storage services
- Administer the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system configuration including managing participants, modifying part attributes, etc.
- Organize and conduct Engineering Change Order (ECO) meetings
- Track ECO status to ensure agreed changes to documents are made, and accurate revisions are released
- Capture and monitor Change Implementation Plan (CIP) actions to ensure ECOs are fully implemented
- Provide and track dataset / documentation to suppliers and customer
- Issue Temporary Deviation Notices (TDN) and monitor to completion
- Problem-solve, maintain and improve data management processes
- Provide training and assistance to the rest of the organization for data management processes and the use of the PLM tool
- Maintaining and analyzing Business Operations KPIs
Knowledge and Experience - Required:
- Electronics technology diploma and 2 years related experience in data management or electronic manufacturing OR high school diploma and 5 years of related experience in data management or electronic manufacturing
- Strong logical thinking and organizational skills
- Able to accurately and effectively make changes to the configuration of a PLM software application
- Excellent working knowledge of window-based office applications
- Able to follow verbal and written work instructions
Knowledge and Experience - Desired:
- Experience using and/or administering a PLM system such as Windchill
- Experience using an ERP system such as SAP or Syteline
- Knowledge of lean methodologies and problem solving
- Tableau or Power BI Experience
Travel:
- There may be some domestic/international travel required.
