Director of Hospitality

Visitor Center | Napa, CA | Full Time | From $120,000.00 to $145,000.00 per year

Job Description

The Director of Hospitality builds a team to execute the company vision that will surprise and delight our guests. The hospitality team is an extension of our marketing strategy that brings our brands to life with extraordinary and unique experiences. The core mission is to execute our guest experiences with a five-star professional hospitality standard while underscored with a professional sales approach to increase retail revenue and wine club memberships.

The hospitality team will create an exceptional guest experience that maximizes sales revenue and wine club membership conversion while also creating memorable and shareable experiences that will drive social media engagement and establish the winery as the premier Napa Valley destination.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build, coach and mentor a hospitality team that can deliver extraordinary luxury experiences that drive wine club conversions.
  • Execute guest experiences that surprise, and delight guests and prompt social media engagement.
  • Manage team to achieve Annual, Quarterly and Monthly Sales Targets, execute the PEEC process and course correct as needed to deliver goals.
  • Manage the department financial budget, drive revenue targets, wine club conversion and retail sales targets.
  • Champion the development of a 5-year plan to expand the DTC business through retail, hospitality, and Wine Club volumetric and revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute compelling programs and events at the winery to attract the right guests that will generate long term recuring revenue through the wine club.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop DTC employees as the senior member of the team.
  • Create cohesion among Direct-to-Consumer managers to maximize synergies between channels from Hospitality, Wine Club and E-Commerce.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to maintain a regular work schedule of 40 hours per week including weekends; available for evening and/or holiday work as needed.
  • College degree required; or equivalent experience in DTC.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in winery, hospitality and / or luxury sales, management, or operational experience.
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic, team-oriented.
  • Attention to detail, takes pride in work and aspires to maintain continual personal and professional growth.
  • Must have outstanding organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must have expertise in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with MailChimp, Tock, WordPress, Google Analytics, Commerce7, and similar software a plus.
  • Knowledge and interest in the wine industry.
  • Must have excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

This role’s compensation is anticipated to fit within the range of $120,000 to $145,000.00. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, knowledge and education.
