Direct to Consumer Assistant

Marketing | Napa, CA | Full Time | From $22.00 to $32.00 per hour

Job Description

The Direct to Consumer Assistant supports our wine club, ecommerce, email, and SMS. This person is nimble, team oriented while also being able to work autonomously. This role is responsible for receiving phone calls, emails and managing the customer systems to support the DTC Manager with customer services and events, and implementing a guest-focused email and tele-sales program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Wine Club (60%)

  • Primary contact for Wine Club members online and via phone.
  • Wine Club database management, including contacting wine club members to update credit cards, addresses, phone numbers & email; filing wine club records, assisting with member correspondence.
  • Processing Wine Club applications, on-site generated wine orders and phone and email orders.
  • Set up and process wine club shipments.
  • Customer service for wine shipment inquiries, returns or damaged/lost orders
  • Assist with Wine Club wine inventory management.
  • Provide ongoing training for hospitality staff including contests to drive conversion.

Ecommerce, Email, and SMS (30% of time)

  • Providing support with online wine shops and all e-commerce efforts including maintenance, orders, and customer service.
  • QA testing of email campaigns, linked web pages, and website links.
  • Ensure products are kept up to date online and with tasting notes and inventory amounts.
  • Assist with online product setups and maintenance including light graphics work, writing, or summarizing copy, and inventory and fulfillment maintenance for web products and services.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and current database through various systems.
  • Create and set up SMS campaigns under the direction of the DTC and Ecommerce Manager

Event Support (10% of time)

  • Assist DTC Manager & Hospitality Manager with ongoing event needs.
  • Support team in providing overall event coordination as needed.
  • Occasional after hours/weekend/remote assistance on-site and off-site events, including pouring, set- up, and tear down support.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Self-directed with high personal quality expectations, as well as a solid team player
  • Attention to detail, takes pride in work and aspires to maintain continual personal and professional growth
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to demonstrate a friendly and helpful manner to visitors, callers, and employees
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with Email Systems, Tock, WordPress, Google Analytics, and similar software a plus.
  • High School diploma or GED; BA/BS desirable

This role’s compensation is anticipated to fit within the range of $22.00 - $27.00 per hour. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, knowledge and education.
