The Role 

We are looking for someone who can play a leading role in our exterior landscape designs, including hard and softscape elements for high-profile projects and masterplans, where the interaction between plants and architecture is a key component. 

They will support the wider design teams with knowledge and solutions and develop and deliver innovative and inventive landscape packages in line with the studio's design values and sustainability goals. 

The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in horticulture, a strong background in landscape design and a have had a degree-level education in landscape architecture. 


 Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities 

  • Lead, develop and design landscape packages in partnership with the Project Leader, Landscape Leader and designers across the project. 
  • Guide, coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality landscape design packages in all project stages. The ability to prioritise and delegate is key.  
  • Create sustainable, innovative and interactive landscape designs. 
  • Communicate and guide external landscape consultants and contractors to ensure our work is realised according to our design values and quality requirements. 
  • Research and advise on suitable vegetation for projects located in different biomes and ecosystems across the globe, including those which face the impacts of climate change, global warming and rising sea levels. 
  • Prepare, submit, monitor and promote the landscape design input for planning applications and submissions following the agreed client instructions. 
  • Occasionally work on tasks outside the scope of landscape if required. This is a multidisciplinary studio working on a broad range of project typologies, so having an open mind and a flexible approach is a key requirement. 

Skills and Experience  

  • A higher education degree in Landscape Architecture. 
  • A minimum of 4 years professional experience working on international large-scale landscape projects, or multidisciplinary projects with a strong focus on landscape. 
  • Experience in the preparation of landscape packages in all project stages, from concept to completion, including hard-scape detailing, planting and material specification. 
  • Able to work in Rhino 3D, AutoCAD,  InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of Revit is desirable
  • The strong ability to match technical competency with a creative approach to design and the iteration of ideas. 
  • Experience in sustainable landscape design solutions is beneficial.
