Architectural Illustrator       

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Illustrator to join our talented London team. Your role will be to digitally draw and produce sketch illustrations of the studios designs throughout the design process.

Heatherwick Studio is a team of over 200 problem solvers dedicated to making the physical world around us better for everyone. Based out of our combined workshop and design studio in Central London, we create buildings, spaces, masterplans, objects and infrastructure. Focusing on large scale projects in cities all over the world, we prioritise those with the greatest positive social impact. Working as practical inventors with no signature style, our motivation is to design soulful and interesting places that embrace and celebrate the complexities of the real world. The approach driving everything is to lead from a human experience rather than any fixed design dogma. 


To be eligible for the role, candidates must be:


• Comfortable with creative methods of visualisation

• Have strong hand-drawing skills and confidence in using digital drawing tools

• An advanced user of post-production software such as Photoshop, Illustrator & After Effects

• Have good a understanding of Rhino, Vray and Rendering set-up

• A clear communicator of workflow processes and ideas


Prior experience and qualifications:


• Visually skilled designers are encouraged to apply for this role

• Experience in photo real visualisation would be an advantage

• Must hold an architectural or design related degree

• At least 3 years working in the creative design industry practising the required skillset

• Able to provide a wide range of work examples that meet the eligibility criteria

• Experience in leading and co-ordinating with external visualisers would be an advantage

• Experience of delivering training and supporting the development of others would be desirable.
