Mission:

As DBA, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server relational database management system hosted on the Microsoft Windows platform, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. You will be  “hands-on” using solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for implementation, performance tuning, ongoing maintenance, backup/ recovery, security, auditing, production support, migration, On-Call support and architecting technical solutions.

Outcomes:

  • Configures, implements, and supports large highly available SQL Server environments
  • Performs Failover Cluster and database mirroring/ always on availability groups
  • Creates processes and procedures to minimize any potential downtime scenarios
  • Participates with multiple teams as database specialist
  • Performs databases lifecycle tasks such as install fixes, updates, new versions, data file backups and restores
  • Routinely evaluates/ implements improved methods or processes for administering and maintaining databases and servers.
  • Implements automated database maintenance plans and backup routines using standard methodologies
  • Addresses operating system interactions with database system software
  • Conducts impact analysis on database requests
  • Participates or leads problem resolution
  • Provides on call support

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in the privacy and/or HIPAA compliance field  
  • Strong understanding of insurance-related and data protection laws required
  • Experience with T-SQL and PowerShell Scripts is required
  • Experience working with information protection resources /IT functions  
  • Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a high paced
  • environment  
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem solving skills  
  • Ability to identify problems, spot issues, and propose creative and effective solutions  
  • Strong decision making capabilities  
  • Excellent ability to communicate; strong written and oral communication skills and ability to
  • provide guidance on complex matters in a clear and concise manner  
  • Ability to present sound, persuasive rationale for ideas or opinions  
  • Ability to quickly adjust to presenting priorities  
  • Team player with positive attitude
