About Catalyst @ Health 2.0
Health 2.0 was founded in 2007 to bring together health technology leaders through international conferences and events. Catalyst @ Health 2.0 was developed in 2011 to further the mission of the conference division by actively connecting startups with hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, insurer groups and more for potential partnerships and mentorship. Catalyst produces commercialization programs such as pilot programs, strategic matchmaking and innovation competitions (or 'challenges') in which multidisciplinary teams boldly tackle the most complex issues in healthcare. Through these programs, successful participants receive funding, gain validation for their ideas and technologies and build commercial partnerships. Catalyst @ Health 2.0 partners with private, non-profit and government organizations such as the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Department of Health and Human Services, Pfizer, the World Bank, etc.

Summary of Role:
An internship with Catalyst @ Health 2.0 will include a wide range of marketing (including social media development, newsletter content creation and other collateral), editorials, writing, research, database work, and event/project support tasks. Ideal candidates have an interest in marketing, social media, healthcare and technology. Applicants should be detail-oriented, web & social media savvy, and possess excellent writing skills. Catalyst @ Health 2.0 sits at the center of new tech innovation in healthcare and is a great place to gain experience and learn about the ins and outs of this industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing/PR: Develop marketing collateral including social media posts, newsletters, dedicated emails, and blog posts. Our ideal candidate will make suggestions and execute on strategy to increase web traffic and increase brand visibility.

  • Content Development: Generate creative and engaging graphics using design tools to promote the Catalyst brand and projects. Develop and post content to websites; Select and digest news stories for blogs; Brainstorm and research content; Copy editing; Potential for other writing opportunities.

  • Research: Conduct research pertaining to trends and leaders in the health technology space to support ongoing and upcoming projects.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or current pursuit of one

  • Sharp verbal and written communication skills

  • Social media wizard (Twitter, Facebook & LinkedIn)  

  • Strong attention to detail and consistent organizational skills

  • Proactive and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Enthusiastic about healthcare and health technology

  • Desire to work with a close knit team

  • HTML and/or blogging applications experience

  • An eye for design; experience with Squarespace, Illustrator, and Canva
