Associate Event Producer

Health 2.0 promotes, showcases and catalyzes new technologies in health care. We do this through a worldwide series of conferences, code-a-thons, prize challenges, and more. Our flagship event occurs in Santa Clara each fall and welcomes over 2,000 attendees. Beyond our annual conference Health 2.0 has grown into a global community of 100,000+ tech companies, start-up entrepreneurs, developers, progressive providers/payers, investors and consumers/patients with 100+ chapters worldwide.

We are seeking an associate producer to assist in successful planning and execution of our conferences across the globe. The associate producer reports to the Executive Producer and is responsible for duties related to pre-production, speaker and presentation management, and on-site duties. This is a full time, salaried position and we are seeking an eager applicant who is looking to start a career in health care tech and event planning. While Health 2.0 is based in San Francisco, we are open to hiring this as a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Speaker research, recruitment, and communication.

  • Rehearse speakers and demo companies one-on-one through our virtual rehearsal process.

    • Health 2.0 is a conference based around live demos that need extensive rehearsals. This position will get to rehearse many of those speakers to get their presentation "stage ready". As a bonus you'll get to see new technology before anyone else, and meet lots of leading health care IT executives.

  • Manage, create, and organize processes and forms related to event and speaker tracking.

  • Session/track curation and management.

  • On-site event management including coordinating speaker details, session flow and more.

  • Stage management - ability to implement an event with highly detailed timing and many moving parts.

  • Script and presentation development.

  • Basic website creation/updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Strong interest in healthcare and technology

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment (stage production or event management a plus but not necessary)

  • Self-motivated, will manage own time appropriately and meet all deadlines

  • Extremely organized
