Harmelin Media internships are unpaid but can be completed for academic credit. Scheduling is flexible. Many of our interns work two to three days per week.

About the Position

The OOH (Out-of-Home) Media Buying team plans and executes advertising across a wide range of formats, including billboards, transit, place-based media, and digital OOH. As an OOH Media Buying Intern, you will learn the fundamentals of media planning and buying by assisting with market research, vendor outreach, and campaign execution under the mentorship of experienced OOH professionals. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in how advertising comes to life in the physical world and how strategy, negotiation, and creativity intersect to reach audiences on the move.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative support to the media team
  • Support the buying process
  • Create POVs (points of view) about various publishers we are considering
  • Compile screen shot decks for live campaigns and post reports
  • Become familiar with Microsoft Office Suite including excel and PowerPoint
  • Compile POP (proof of performance)reporting updates for clients
  • Perform creative trafficking
  • Attend vendor meetings as required
  • Assist in topline planning requests
  • Keep informed of relevant issues affecting the advertising industry
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary to meet company needs

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Proficient computer skills, especiallyMicrosoft Outlook, Word,Exceland PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills
