Role: Backend Engineer (Distributed Systems)

Location: Onsite SF/Palo Alto (4 days/week, Palo Alto Mondays)

Job type : | Full-time

Must‑haves:

• 3–10 years backend/distributed systems experience (ideally 5–8)
• Shipped & maintained production systems at scale
• Strong in concurrency, race conditions, async patterns
• Proficient in Python; experience with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS/GCP, Terraform
• Background in big tech or VC‑backed startup
• Multiple years handling complex distributed systems

Nice‑to‑haves:

• Marketplace/auction/billing/exchange systems experience
• Full‑stack capabilities with backend focus

Avoid:

• Prototype/MVP‑only builders (no production maintenance)
• Single‑domain specialists unwilling to work across stack
• Multiple short stints (<2 years per role
