About The Company:
COPA Soccer Training Center (COPA STC) is a state-of-the-art soccer training and fitness facility in the Shadelands SportsMall in Walnut Creek, California. COPA STC utilizes the latest and greatest technology, sports science techniques, and training methodologies to develop all people from young athletes looking to improve their soccer skills to adults trying to maintain healthy exercise habits.
COPA Kids is a division within COPA STC offering fun, age-appropriate training and party facilities for COPA STC members aged eighteen months to seven years old. COPA Kids offers a positive, supportive environment where young players are progressively introduced to elementary athletic skills and soccer fundamentals to develop their cognitive and locomotor skills, to learn to love soccer, and to build a strong foundation for competitive or recreational play.
About The Position:
COPA Kids is seeking soccer trainers for kids ages 18 months to 7 years old. Applicants should be patient, energetic, inspirational, and dependable. As a soccer trainer, you will be introducing fundamental motor skills to kids and teaching fundamental soccer skills. Our soccer trainers must be able to teach children in a fun and engaging manner. Soccer trainers should be able to make the class environment supportive and enjoyable for kids and parents. COPA Kids soccer trainers will help children develop confidence and self-worth by teaching values such as teamwork, respect, and dedication alongside soccer and fitness lessons.
Instruct groups of children in the development of fundamental motor skills–agility, balance, and coordination–and teach the basics of soccer
Create and maintain a positive environment for children and their parents.
Come to work each day on time and with a positive attitude.
Must be at least 16 years old with basic computer proficiency skills.
Must be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays.
Must be able to complete and pass a required background screening (which may include a drug test).
Must have or obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Must take pride in maintaining the high standards of our elite facility.
Must be able to learn and become comfortable with our new technology, operating software, and hardware which will be integral to our facility.
* Experience playing soccer and coursework in Early Child Development are preferred, but not required.
