COPA Soccer Training Center (COPA STC) is a state-of-the-art soccer training and fitness facility which caters to young athletes looking to improve their soccer skills, to adults trying to maintain healthy exercise habits. Located at the Shadelands SportsMall in Walnut Creek, California, COPA STC utilizes never before seen technology, sports science techniques, and training methodologies in an all encompassing training system like no other. Along with soccer training, COPA features a comprehensive health club, COPA Fit. We are looking for positive, high energy, and creative Front Desk Associates to join the COPA STC team. This is a great position for candidates who want to make an impact in a new, growing, and dynamic organization that values employee contributions. We are looking for qualified individuals who are compatible with the COPA STC culture. This role encompasses a variety of different customer service-related responsibilities. Front Desk Associates will be a key component to ensuring an efficient flow of facility traffic and they will be among the first points of contact for guests and members alike. This role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Professionally greet members and guests.
Facilitate the check-in of members and guests.
Facilitate the safe transfer of young children from their parents to their training and vice versa.
Answer the phones in a professional manner.
Respond to member questions, concerns, and discrepancies.
Update membership accounts as needed and sign-up new members.
Maintain an orderly and clean work area.
Ability to work opening, closing, or mid-day shifts.
Ability to lead membership tours.
Provide the highest level of customer service to members, prospective members, and guests.
Be comfortable working and interacting with kids of all ages.
Aid other departments with various tasks.
Perform all other tasks assigned by supervisors and/or leadership team members.
Assist in ensuring an efficient flow of traffic.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the layout of the COPA STC building and be able to direct members and guests to different areas of the facility.
Willing to understand all aspects of COPA STC and be able to give tours if needed.
Stock and organize merchandise in a clean and professional manner.
Provide exceptional customer service to customers.
Be willing and able to learn a POS system and keep track of inventory.
Clean the Pro Shop area as needed.
Have knowledge of different products and the options of various offerings and be able to upsell a customer in a strategic, yet friendly, manner.
Be willing to learn how to use a heat press machine.
Be able to conduct customer transactions.
Promote the COPA brand in a positive and professional manner.
Perform all other tasks assigned by supervisor(s) and/or COPA STC leadership.
High School diploma/GED required or equivalent work experience (or currently attending high school).
Be reliable, professional, computer-literate, energetic, and friendly.
Preferably interested in health, fitness, and soccer.
Must be able to effectively communicate in person, via email, and via phone.
Must be First Aid/CPR/AED-certified or be willing to take our course to become certified.
Be able to understand all aspects of the company and be versatile when needed.
Be a friendly, helpful, proactive team member with a can-do mentality and a strong work ethic.

Essential Physical Requirements
Must be able to perform all essential physical aspects of the position, which may include standing for long periods of time, sitting, constantly walking, squatting, stooping, reaching, and bending above and below shoulder height. Must be able to perform pushing and pulling movements and lift up to 50lbs at a time.
