Job Summary:

The AGM is responsible for assisting the General Manager by providing cooperative leadership and managing processes and procedures to ensure the property meets and maintains all company expectations in regard to quality, service, profit, and teamwork.  A strong work ethic and positive personality is a must!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train, coach and support Front Desk personnel, ensuring they perform in accordance with company standards.

  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns by researching situations and determining the best solution.

  • Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all maintenance requests are being addressed in a timely manner.

  • Assist with ordering supplies as directed by the General Manager.

  • Provide back-up to the Front Desk personnel, as needed.

  • Book and sell reservations/accommodations in response to walk-in and phone-in inquiries.

  • Be pleasant and communicative in selling prospective guests on Emerald Suites’ accommodations.

  • Accept payment for guests’ account at the time of registration and renewals.

  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer.

  • Communicate with Housekeeping and Maintenance regarding room inventory and issues needing their attention.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written form, and solve basic arithmetic calculations.

  • 1 to 3 years related experience.

  • Experience using RoomKey software and Expedia Partner Central preferred but not mandatory.

  • Basic typing skills and previous experience with Microsoft Office computer programs (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
