QA Engineer

We are looking for a collaborative manual Quality Assurance Engineer with a passion for quality who knows the devil is in the details. You’ll be a part of a larger, dynamic engineering team and work closely with product and design to ensure every feature and function released meets the highest level of software standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Review system requirements, specifications, technical design documents and more, providing accurate analysis and feedback that improves the product.

  • Plan, develop and execute test plans and cases, creating appropriate reports on results and provide visibility to appropriate teams.

  • Work cross-functionally with other Quality Assurance Engineers for testing and development of site capability and functionality, ensuring high quality throughout production.

  • Make appropriate recommendations and execution plans based on report findings.

  • Effectively document testing phases, identifying and recording defects, bugs, errors, and other associated issues.

  • Assist the team in troubleshooting issues that may arise during the testing phase, offering appropriate recommendations and implementations.

  • Establish Quality Assurance Engineer strategy and best practices.

  • Test and report on current client offerings, ensuring everything is operating up to our high standards, offering suggestions on improvements when necessary.

  • Work with product managers and developers to identify and improve system requirements, supporting the team in implementing those changes as needed.

  • Manage quality assurance parameters, maintaining statistical process controls, analyzing associated data, and other assorted technical support as needed.

  • Mentor and help other members of the QA team to learn new technologies (e.g automation) and other QA best practices to apply them in their testing.

WHO YOU ARE

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a manual QA engineer role

  • Experience working in all stages of SDLC, including design, implementation, code review, acceptance / regression testing and deployments

  • Proven experience developing load and stress tests using jMeter to simulate high traffic throughput and bursts

  • Experience developing automated test cases using RSpec, Selenium, Cucumber, and Appium

  • Experience developing integrations with 3rd party test case management services (e.g. TestRail).

  • Experience developing automation tests and pipelines for native Android and iOS mobile applications.
