Job Description

haku is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Operations Associate to support our VP of Finance with day-to-day financial operations and contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our financial processes. This role will involve a mix of administrative support, operational tasks, and project-based assignments to help ensure the seamless functioning of the Finance department.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Operational Support:

  • Assist with daily financial tasks such as processing invoices, managing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met.

Administrative Assistance:

  • Manage scheduling, meetings, and correspondence for the VP of Finance.
  • Coordinate communication with internal teams and external partners as required.
  • Maintain and organize financial documentation, contracts, and compliance records.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial and operational processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and enhance efficiency.

Project Management:

  • Assist in special projects such as audits, system implementations, and ad hoc financial analyses.
  • Support initiatives related to budgeting, fundraising, or other strategic financial efforts.


WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance operations, accounting, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with tools like QuickBooks or FP&A solutions is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
