Business Development Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing SaaS sales team. As a BDR, you’ll be on the front lines of our go-to-market strategy, helping generate qualified opportunities by connecting with nonprofit organizations that can benefit from haku’s fundraising technology. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to advance their career in tech sales, thrives on “hunting”, and wants to make a real impact in the nonprofit space.

WHO YOU ARE
- Passionate about sales, nonprofits, and/or mission-driven work
- Gritty, self-motivated, and resilient in the face of rejection
- Strong communicator—both written and verbal
- Highly organized and able to manage a high volume of outreach without sacrificing quality
- Curious, coachable, and always seeking ways to improve
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, and highly collaborative environment
- Prior BDR/SDR experience is preferred
- Previous experience in SaaS, fundraising, CRM, or nonprofit technology is a bonus
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Source and engage nonprofit leads through cold outreach across email, phone, and social channels (LinkedIn)
Generate qualified meetings (SQLs) that convert to pipeline for the sales team
Equip AEs with relevant account research, call preparation materials, and strategic context ahead of discovery calls
Execute outbound campaigns and iterate messaging to increase response rates and meeting conversion
Use tools like HubSpot to maintain detailed records of outreach, engagement, and qualification activity
Work closely with Account Executives to build account and outreach plans that break into high-value prospects and target organizations
Contribute to pipeline creation goals and revenue growth by helping build early-stage momentum
