ABOUT THE ROLE 


At haku, our Account Executives do far more than manage opportunities and close deals. They serve as strategic advisors to endurance event organizations, helping them evaluate technology, modernize outdated processes, and transform how they manage events, engage participants, and drive growth. We're looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our Endurance team and help accelerate our growth within the endurance events market. This role is ideal for a consultative seller who enjoys navigating complex buying decisions, building consensus across multiple stakeholders, and solving meaningful business challenges.

Working closely with Business Development Representatives, Solutions Engineers, Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience teams, this individual will create exceptional buying experiences while driving revenue growth. Success in this role requires curiosity, business acumen, resourcefulness, and the ability to guide prospects through complex evaluations while aligning solutions to measurable business outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Own Revenue Growth Within Your Territory

Manage opportunities from qualification through close while consistently achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Develop territory and account strategies that maximize pipeline creation, opportunity progression, and revenue growth.

Lead Complex Buying Journeys

Guide prospects through complex evaluations involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and organizational change.

Facilitate discovery conversations, uncover business challenges, build consensus, develop business cases, and help buyers confidently navigate the decision-making process.

Partner Across the Revenue Organization

Work closely with Business Development Representatives to generate pipeline and develop account strategies.

Collaborate with Solutions Engineers to deliver compelling evaluations and demonstrate how haku solves customer challenges.

Partner with Marketing, Product, Customer Experience, and Leadership teams to improve the buyer experience and support company growth.

Serve as a Strategic Advisor

Build trusted relationships with race directors, event operators, marketers, participant experience leaders, and executive stakeholders throughout the buying process.

Help prospects understand not only what haku does, but how technology can help them improve operational efficiency, participant engagement, fundraising performance, and event growth.

Be the Voice of the Customer

Bring customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and industry insights back to the organization.

Help influence product direction, messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy through the insights you gather in the field.

Help Build the Future of haku

Contribute to the evolution of our sales playbooks, processes, methodologies, and go-to-market strategy.

Share best practices, mentor teammates, test new ideas, and help strengthen the foundation for our next stage of growth.

Maintain Operational Excellence

Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, account activity, and opportunity data within HubSpot.

Operate with discipline and accountability while providing leadership with reliable visibility into your business.


WHO YOU ARE

The ideal candidate is a consultative seller who thrives in complex environments and approaches sales with curiosity, business acumen, and a deep understanding of customer needs. Success in this role requires the ability to ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, and uncover business challenges before recommending solutions. Strong executive presence, experience navigating buying committees, and the ability to create momentum throughout a sales cycle are essential. This individual is highly resourceful, takes ownership of outcomes, embraces accountability, and enjoys contributing beyond their territory by helping shape strategy, processes, and team culture. Above all, they are passionate about solving meaningful customer problems and delivering exceptional buying experiences.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience selling B2B SaaS solutions and managing opportunities from discovery through close
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and formal decision-making processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, navigate buying committees, and drive opportunities to successful close
  • Strong discovery, business case development, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Experience developing territory and account strategies that generate pipeline and accelerate revenue growth
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect customer challenges to measurable business outcomes
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across both individual contributors and executive stakeholders
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Solutions Engineers, Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and Leadership teams
  • Strong organizational, pipeline management, and forecasting discipline
  • High degree of resourcefulness, accountability, and intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling business-critical software solutions to commercial, enterprise, or event-driven organizations
  • Experience selling CRM, event management, registration, ecommerce, payment processing, marketing technology, fundraising technology, or adjacent software platforms
  • Experience with outbound prospecting, territory development, and account-based sales strategies
  • Experience working within a high-growth SaaS environment
  • Experience working with endurance events, mass participation events, sports organizations, or event technology is a plus
