Senior Accountant (Part-Time Contractor) – Remote

As we expand, we’re looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This is a remote, part-time contractor position with the potential to transition to a full-time salaried role after 90 days based on performance and business needs.

About the Role

You’ll work directly with the Financial Controller to lead month-end close and consolidation activities across multiple entities. For the right candidate, this role could grow into full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll support, and financial analysis.

Key Details:

• Flexible part-time hours (20–30 hours per week)

• Independent contractor arrangement

• 2–3 hours of daily overlap with EST required

• Reports directly to the Financial Controller

Key Responsibilities

• Perform month-end close activities across multiple entities

• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and intercompany eliminations

• Conduct financial consolidations and reconciliations

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure GAAP compliance

• Assist with cash flow management and financial reporting

• Partner with the Controller to improve accounting processes

• Expand into full-cycle accounting responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity environments

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP

• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Bonus Points For

• Experience with QuickBooks Online

• Familiarity with Fathom (financial reporting & analysis)

• Use of Bill.com

• Experience working with U.S.-based clients or companies
