ABOUT THE JOB:

You’re here to get your foot inside the marketing world of tech. Perfect for new grads or people that have been working in the tech industry and looking to change their career path. You’ll join the Marketing team and assist with various tasks including, but not limited to: marketing campaigns, social media, content writing and editing, events, and working with technical operations teams with marketing automation tools and CRM. 


WITHIN 3 MONTHS, YOU WILL:

  • Get up to speed on our product offerings and sales verticals (enterprise, corporate/SMB, and higher education) and partner with the rest of the marketing team to achieve quarter objectives

  • Learn about our systems and reporting capabilities

  • Assist with existing campaigns and help plan the next quarter’s campaigns

  • Learn how to create compelling content and campaigns across multiple platforms that effectively communicate Guidebook’s brand, value proposition, and position as the easiest tool out there for creating and managing mobile apps.

WITHIN 6 MONTHS, YOU WILL:

  • Help establish KPIs, track performance/success, measure, analyze and adjust campaigns in-flight based on performance. Assess campaign effectiveness by product, medium, source, offer type, and target audience.

  • Work closely with our team to ensure the timely and strategic delivery of messages via email, content, social media, and events.

  • Play an active role in making sure all projects and campaigns meet our branding guidelines

  • Learn about trade shows and assist with planning and execution - from booth creation and design to social media to content!

  • Assist with preparing marketing reports and post-campaign analysis summarizing results

WITHIN 9 MONTHS, YOU WILL:

  • Be responsible for your own campaigns as the primary owner (or co-own campaigns with other Marketing team members)

  • Work against established KPIs and track their performance/success. Measure and report on the effectiveness of all content marketing efforts, factoring in any key findings to continually fine-tune the editorial calendar and identify fresh, engaging tactics.

  • Manage marketing tools on your own and influence the types of tools we use

WITHIN 12 MONTHS, YOU WILL:

  • Influence our strategy by working with marketing, sales, and product teams to identify and fulfill needs for all phases of the campaign lifecycle, buyer’s journey, and brainstorming sessions

  • Conduct market research to identify new revenue opportunities


OTHER CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  • Able to challenge people’s perspectives and create a compelling story for customers to rally around - great research skills and the ability to pick things up quickly are key!

  • Resilience and grit - you’re prepared to go the extra mile when necessary (though Guidebook strongly promotes a healthy work/life balance!).

  • You are a team player.  Everyone needs to pull for each other, challenge each other, share best practices, help each other grow, and take on team projects to make the entire Guidebook team better.

  • Bonus points if you have worked on a marketing team before!

  • Extra bonus points if you have experience with Wordpress, Google Analytics, Adwords, Marketo and Salesforce, or like systems
