Creating a native application across iOS, Android, other mobile operating systems and the mobile Web is a difficult and costly endeavor, and it's only half the battle. Applications also need to be updated, to stay current with the latest mobile technology has to offer, and synced with other software products, so that the information stays fresh. Position Description
The Technology Support Technician, under the direction of the Director of Technology, provides technical support services to the staff of the company. You will be taking over most IT responsibilities for a ~30 person company across two offices. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and a quick learner who can work in a fast-paced environment. If you want to grow your technical skills and enjoy working with a smart team, this is the role for you.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting end-user Macintosh environments

  • Strong trouble-shooting skills and experience repairing computer hardware

  • Familiar with a scripting language or shell such as Perl, Python, or Bash

  • Knowledge of Linux maintenance and package management

  • Knowledge of virtualization environments

  • Knowledge of basic to intermediate network and firewall concepts

  • Experience with cat-5/6 cabling

  • Familiarity with working with VOIP networks

  • Valid CA driver's license


Education

  • Minimum of AA Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. 


Responsibilities

  • Log, investigate and solve technical issues

  • Document work performed using ticketing system

  • IT asset procurement, deployment, and management

  • Install and configure new network devices when necessary

  • Perform hardware upgrades on end-user devices as well as IT infrastructure

  • Perform software upgrades on end-user devices as well as IT infrastructure.

  • Configure IT Security infrastructure (Firewalls, Anti Virus, SIEM, IDS and others as needed)

  • Diagnose and repair network issues (wifi and wired) and run/repair cable if necessary

  • Performs other related duties as assigned
