ABOUT THE JOB:
In this position, you will become a thought leader in the events industry and build a leadership program for other key influencers within the company. You will also take on organic demand generation such as hosting webinars, connecting our thought leaders with podcasts for interviews, and finding and cross-collaborating with other industry influencers. You will also plan and execute our events and sponsorships.
Our ideal candidate is very high-energy with a drive to take on new projects and a passion for social media (especially Linkedin). They must be a subject authority in events and a strong writer. This person should have an entrepreneurial spirit and self-starter mentality.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in event planning and logistics
This role requires high energy and a comfortability with public speaking and writing
Must be constantly innovating and looking for new opportunities
Has great communication skills, both verbal and written
Is able to work effectively with a manager based in a remote office
Is a team player, and can work cross functionally with other teams as needed
Has a drive to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility
EHS/Compliance industry experience is preferred but not required
Within 3 months you will:
Have a solid understanding of the product and its value proposition
A firm grasp on our target market and industries
Have built a collaborative relationship with sales and product departments
Outline an action plan for our Thought Leadership Program
Gain a good idea of the events we should and shouldn’t be attending/sponsoring
Within 6 months you will:
Continuously analyze our thought leadership program and make recommendations on improvements
Have built a strong list of partners for cross-collaboration (whether they be for webinars, podcasts, blogs, etc)
Have a strong plan to better our webinars and be able to recommend other forms of events that we should take on
Have built a calendar of events to attend and sponsorship opportunities
Create a best practices playbook for our events and all the logistics and marketing that goes into them
Within 12 months you will:
Have built high-performing and well-tested thought leader programs
Become a common name associated with events
Find more opportunities to grow our organic lead generation
Successfully handled logistics for multiple events

COMPENSATION:
A reasonable estimate of the base salary for this role is $75,000-90,000 annually, plus an additional 10% in commissions, depending on relevant experience.
