Director, Marketing - Guidebook & ReadyKey

Marketing | Remote in Raleigh, NC | Full Time

Job Description

ABOUT GUIDEBOOK:

Guidebook is a mobile application builder that lets anyone create an app with no technical skills required.

Thousands of organizations across the globe use Guidebook to build mobile apps for events, university campus open houses, venue guides, onboarding for associations, corporate trainings and so much more. These apps help people stay organized, connect with their peers, and access more information - but it doesn’t stop there.

Our mission is to connect people with the resources they need to get the most out of their experience - in person and virtually. We are a driven team focused on elevating mobile experiences for everyone – and we believe we can accomplish that while highly valuing balance, togetherness, and fun!

ABOUT READYKEY:

ReadyKey was launched in 2021 to specifically target Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Compliance and Manufacturing use cases.

Leveraging the same powerful technology as Guidebook, ReadyKey helps some of the largest companies in the world to provide critical information to their employees - anytime, anywhere. Leaders implement a ‘No Excuses’ culture by ensuring employees always have access to the right information at the right time - in an app which works offline and supports multiple languages.

ReadyKey’s brand is the more serious younger sister to Guidebook - this is a unique challenge to shape a start-up within a more established company (although we still view Guidebook as a start-up in many ways!).

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

We are seeking a data-driven Marketing leader to craft and execute on a marketing vision at Guidebook & ReadyKey. You will lead, coach, and grow an incredible team of driven, talented individuals responsible for driving demand. This strategic leader will collaborate with Sales, Product, the Leadership Team, and others to develop and articulate the Marketing strategy for our product - which has found success in a wide variety of Business to Business (B2B) verticals.

You will be responsible for critical functions such as brand, performance, and lifecycle marketing, managing and scaling all marketing resources -- including personnel and our performance marketing agency -- to grow our business. This is a role for someone who thinks strategically yet is hands-on -- you’re driven to test and measure marketing efforts, and welcome the opportunity to tie your efforts to growth in our revenue.

You will report directly to the President of Sales & Marketing, and will be expected to challenge existing systems and processes, bring new ideas to the table, and play a pivotal role in the company's continued growth.

WHAT SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE:

  • You have defined a clear and inspirational marketing vision, strategy, and roadmap for both brands.

  • You have driven growth in the sales pipeline by managing and optimizing the funnel, all the while partnering closely with sales.

  • You have built a world-class team of marketers that lead and inspire their colleagues across the company.

  • You have helped cultivate a strong culture through your leadership and by living our core values on a daily basis.

  • You have honed and articulated the Guidebook and ReadyKey brands, and flowed that through our marketing efforts.

  • You have developed projections and measured ROI/effectiveness of our marketing efforts. You have refined the means of tracking performance, established a cadence for reporting, and leverage this data to make key marketing decisions.

  • You are close to our customers, competitors, and industry. You have a strong understanding of their behavior and the landscape.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • 5+ years in marketing (preferably Software as a Service (SaaS) Business to Business) with high emphasis on growth, lead generation, and/or demand creation. Some experience or exposure of Performance, Brand and Product marketing in SaaS will be a major plus.

  • Growth mindset, with a focus and passion for innovative marketing.

  • Experience leading and growing marketing teams in a startup environment.

  • Proven leadership skills, with a history of successful mentoring, training, and development.

  • Strong analytic and strategic thinking, tying lead generation activities to overall company go-to-market strategy.

  • System competencies for this role ideally include experience directly managing or leading teams that are hands-on with key marketing, sales, and analytics systems such as Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, Adwords, and Webflow.

PERKS:

  • 100% paid benefits: medical, dental, and vision

  • Unlimited vacation time

  • 401k program with matching benefit

  • Stock options

  • A company culture built on balance, community, and shared success

  • MacBook and accessories to make you comfortable working from home

  • Flexibility to work from our downtown Raleigh, North Carolina office – or fully remote.

If you want to help our team do amazing things, then we want to hear from you! Please send us a cover letter and resume.

LOCATION:

  • Remote US - ideally East Coast.

  • Bonus for being close to Raleigh, North Carolina (where we have an office available for those who would like to use it).
