Team Lead Manager, Geospatial Software Engineering

Engineering | New York, NY | Full Time

Job Description

Global food security is top of mind here for us at Gro Intelligence. The world could face a food deficit of 214 trillion calories per year by 2027!  We believe the key to ensuring cheap and abundant food is data --  enabling discovery, analysis, predictions, and better decision making in food and agriculture. That’s why we’ve built Gro, the largest agricultural data and analytics platform – with hundreds of trillions of data points from sources all over the world, a number that is doubling every six months. Our blog posts give a good sense of how this data can be used.

Among our petabytes of data, a large portion is very granular geographical data (satellite imagery, or production per field, weather station data, etc.), the likes of which have never been truly organized into structured data and made available at scale.  We are building a team dedicated to adding highly granular dynamic query and real time geographic analysis capability on the Gro platform.
