Work with sales to research new prospects and users and develop and implement appropriate engagement strategies
Support sales in finding leads through various research techniques and analyses
Draft client presentations and correspondence for senior sales
Research target companies and sectors
Track interactions with clients and prospects to build the company’s knowledge base
Monitor and qualify inbound leads
Lead sourcing for outbound campaigns
Communicate with internal teams about sales progress to prepare for client onboarding and create internal awareness of client needs
This position is based in our NYC office, and travel is expected (post COVID-19)
Work with the sales and customer success teams to maintain and update our prospect database
1-3 years professional experience, ideally trained in using data and creating presentations and analyses

Enjoy problem solving and creating processes/analytics to solve problems
Humility and openness are non-negotiable
Passion for, or familiarity with, agriculture, commodities, food systems, or the policy and financial environments around them
Solid grasp of technical concepts - you don’t have to be a software engineer but you have to be able to explain software and be able to use software platforms
Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year accredited institution
Exceptional communication skills, especially as a writer
Very organized, very detail oriented
What Strong Candidates Should Also Have:
Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
Familiarity with CRM software
Familiarity with agriculture, food/beverage, consumer products, commodities, or financial services is helpful, but not required
Experience with data products, either as a consumer or producer
