Grimshaw Architects has an exciting opportunity for a talented and passionate Communications professional to join its London studio in Clerkenwell.

The Communications Coordinator will be in charge of securing press coverage for high-profile projects in the UK and around the globe, as well as increasing the profile of the practice and its people. Applicants must love writing as they’ll be whipping up news stories, press releases, award submissions and articles. Working closely with journalists is a major part of the role and this includes reactive enquiries as well as proactive PR campaigns.

Event management experience is a bonus as there is no shortage of events in Grimshaw’s busy calendar. Whether it’s organising a panel event, submitting work for an exhibition or hosting an Open Studio; organisational skills are a must.

This is a great opportunity for anyone who considers themselves a ‘people person’ as networking with people in the office and at various industry events is a regular part of this role. Architecture is a fascinating profession and there’s no shortage of discussions on art, design, urban growth and the built environment; so an interest in this area is a bonus.

Key Attributes

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in PR and Communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of how the media works, with a proven track record of working with the press
  • Event and/or project management skills and experience are a requirement
  • Proactive, friendly and organised with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
