Food Runner/ Busser - Graziano's Coral Gables South

Job Description

8 Hour Shifts/ 5 Days a Week/ Weekends Required/ Variable Day & Evening Shifts (7 am to 3 pm/ 3 pm to 11 pm)

Job Summary:

  • Greets incoming customers, answers phone calls, and customer questions and requests.
  • Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
  • Issue refunds, voids, or credits to customers with manager approval.
  • Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
  • Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales.
  • Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
  • Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
  • Complete general cleaning duties such as clean tables, chairs, and floors. Remove dirty dishes, set tables, replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware condiments & bread. Empty trash cans.
  • Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
  • Restocking and rolling silverware and assist with stocking stations.
  • Answer questions related to drinks, menu, bakery and catering.
  • Check with guests to make sure that they are enjoying their meals and be initiative-taking to correct any problem.
  • Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
  • Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
  • Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
  • Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a server preferred.
  • Must successfully complete restaurants training course.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
