Job Description
Required to work mornings, 4 days a week.
Job Summary:
- Greets incoming customers, answers phone calls, and customer questions and requests.
- Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
- Issue refunds, voids, or credits to customers with manager approval.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Calculate total payments received during a time period and reconcile this with total sales.
- Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea, to patrons; correctly customizes orders as requested.
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas.
- Complete general cleaning duties such as clean tables, chairs, and floors. Remove dirty dishes, set tables, replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware condiments & bread. Empty trash cans.
- Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
- Restocking and rolling silverware and assist with stocking stations.
- Answer questions related to drinks, menu, bakery and catering.
- Check with guests to make sure that they are enjoying their meals and be initiative-taking to correct any problem.
- Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
- Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to customers.
- Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customers satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
- Collects plates and clears the table as customers finish their meals.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately.
- Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.
Education and Experience:
- Previous experience as a server preferred.
- Must successfully complete restaurants training course.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
