Sales Representative

Sales | Ohio | Full Time

Job Description

Grassroots Cannabis is currently in need of a full-time sales rep for the state of Ohio. Our sales rep will be responsible for building relationships with dispensaries to ensure a wide customer base. This position requires an extremely high level of knowledge about the uses of medical cannabis, the scope of the industry in the state, and the details of all products offered by Grassroots.

 

Responsibilities

  • Act as one of the public faces of Grassroots within the state’s cannabis industry while being consistent with our brand, values, and objectives
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and to explain how specific products and services can meet these needs
  • Help customers select products based on their patients’ needs, product specifications, and regulations
  • Answer customers' questions about prices, availability, and product uses
  • Negotiate prices and terms of sale, prepare sales contracts, and submit orders for processing
  • Follow up with dispensaries to make sure their patients are satisfied with their purchases and report any questions or concerns back to the company
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
  • Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dispensaries
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information
  • Provide needed content for the website, events and miscellaneous collateral materials
  • Provide input when asked about potential and existing products
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, current products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • Promote the Grassroots brand by being a brand ambassador and by attending public and private industry events. Participate in physician, patient and community education when needed
  • Host events when possible to promote industry and brand
  • Travel to dispensaries throughout the state will be required

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years
  • Must be able to obtain state approval to work the medical cannabis industry
  • Must be able to pass both state and federal background checks free of felonies
  • Must have proven sales experience with a track record of over-achieving quotas
  • Must be skilled at evaluating customer needs and building productive long-lasting relationships
  • Must possess a high level of medical cannabis knowledge
  • Must have excellent public speaking and presentation skills
  • Must be proficient with computers and POS systems
  • Must have strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Must be self motivated and driven
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required
  • Prior experience working within the medical cannabis industry desired
  • Centrally located for easy travel to all dispensaries in state desired
