We are seeking full-time research engineer to help us develop innovative computer vision technologies and solutions. As part of the AR team, you will have the opportunity to design, implement, and improve cutting-edge algorithms. Your work experience might also include publication of papers at scientific conferences as well as patenting your ideas. The successful candidate is self-motivated, thorough, with in-depth understanding of computer vision and machine learning techniques and excellent programming skills. He/She has affinity for multimedia technologies in general, very good communication skills, and a strong desire to work in the exciting field of digital media technology.

Video Research Engineer role focuses on research, analysis, and development of computer vision technologies, development of software components and tools, all geared toward maintaining Gracenote’s leadership position in Video Data and Video ACR space. This includes staying up-to-date in the scientific field, attending research conferences and trade shows, and the creation and submission of scientific papers and patents, as well as supporting other Gracenote engineers and partners in integrating the technology components into products. We require independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to formulate and implement novel ideas and solutions. We expect our Engineers to be strong, creative partners and innovators in a team of highly skilled audio and video professionals.
M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
3 or more years of related experience in Computer Vision algorithms and Machine Learning techniques
Experience using machine learning toolboxes such as TensorFlow, Caffe, Theano
Excellent skills in Python and tools like Numpy, and Scikit
Expert level knowledge of C, C++ and debugging techniques
Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Experience working in research oriented environments and reading and interpreting scientific papers.
Strong communication and technical writing skills
