A fast-growing, mission-driven healthy school meal foodservice company is seeking a reliable & friendly delivery driver to join our energetic team. The ideal driver will possess super customer service skills and flexibility to work with Gourmet Gorilla staff and school administration. In this position, you will have the opportunity to gain skills and experience, grow within the company, and help us achieve our mission of providing nutritious meals to all children. You should have strong moral character, with a willingness and appreciation for open dialogue and transparency.
Essential Duties
Packing trucks with delivery items
Checking and confirming delivery items
Must take and log food temperatures before & after every delivery
Delivering quality customer service to schools
Job Details
Full Time Position Hours: 5am – 1 pm (subject to change)
Days: 5 days a week, Monday – Friday
Location: 833 W. Haines St. Chicago IL, 60642
Start: Immediately
Requirements
2-3 years driving experience
Must have a valid driver's license
Clean driving record & background check
Applicant must be reliable, punctual, presentable
Knowledge of Chicagoland streets and geography a plus
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and occasionally climb stairs
Food Handlers certification is a plus, but not required upfront; the selected candidate must obtain it within 30 days of hire
Ability to read, write, count and comprehend standard documentation in English
