Good Shepherd Hospice is looking for an experienced RN Hospital Liaison.
The RN Hospital Liaison serves in a consulting role, advocating for hospice and educating healthcare professionals in the hospital setting. In your role, you will assess each consult to determine appropriateness for hospice admission based on individual hospice criteria.

RN Hospital Liaison
The RN Hospital Liaison serve in a consultative role, advocating for hospice programs and providing education for healthcare professionals. The role serves to improve care for all patients who are terminally ill and specifically to provide better management of hospice patients.
The RN Hospital Liaison's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Developing a hospice presence in the hospital. Activities may include, attending and facilitating rounds and care conferences when possible, conferring with providers, speaking at in-service meetings, attending committee meetings, and participating in new staff orientation.
Serve as a consultant to hospital medical professionals concerning hospice programs, palliative care, and pain management and about hospice Medicare/Medicaid/commercial reimbursements
Act as a liaison and advocate for hospice patients admitted to the hospital.
Ensure the hospice plan of care is adhered to during the in-patient admissions.
Help determine if inpatient admission of hospice patient is related to terminal illness.
Work with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other medical professionals to assure only palliative care is administered to admitted hospice patients.
Assess each consult to determine the appropriateness for hospice admissions based on individual hospice criteria.
- Registered Nurse Licensed in the State of Oklahoma
- Valid Driver’s License
- Vehicle in Good Working Order
- Appropriate Auto Liability Insurance Coverage
- Can Successfully Pass Criminal Background Check
We'd Love It If You Have...
- 3+ Years Experience as an RN
- Established relationships with area hospitals
- Hospice experience (strongly preferred)
- A working knowledge of hospice care philosophy and symptom management
- A good understanding of hospice regulations and quality standards of care
