The Procurement Coordinator orders and tracks all raw and expense material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintains the integrity of our purchasing & inventory system and communicates expected deliveries and any changes and/or delays in those deliveries.
- Works closely with the Inventory Control Manager and Warehouse personnel to ensure timely receipts, and resolutions to supply issues.
- Sources and selects the best products based on price, quality, and lead time, to meet operational needs.
- Sources and selects the best freighters for shipping materials in from suppliers or within our network of production facilities.
- Tracks Purchase Orders from time of issuance to receipt on site.
- Coordinates with Operation Managers to ensure all required tools and material are available.
- Follows all compliance procedures mandated by the state licensing requirement.
- Executes on assigned tasks, projects, and expectations in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Maintains open communication with the management team and other co-workers
- Follows all operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
- Manage vendor relations and maintain consistent, professional communication
- Demonstrate polished, professional email etiquette and interpersonal manner
- Assist in identifying trends and insights from inventory reports to prevent material shortages or overstock situations
- Execute responsible purchasing practices to align with budgetary targets and financial objective.
- Maintains a professional attitude towards coworkers and management·
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check
- Must be able to communicate with GDF Team effectively and professionally.
- Must perform under high pressure situations.
- Must be certified to operate a forklift.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high stress situations
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to stay focused
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Reliable transportation
Education & Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer experience with a proficiency in Excel and other MS Office software
- One to two years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Strong ethics and reliability
- Experience using data entry software (i.e., Excel) and comfortable learning and using new software
- Experience with compliance regulations and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specialized areas
- Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time
- The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
- The ability to work in low light situations
- Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity
- Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
