Job Description
The Delivery Tech loads trucks and delivers products across the state. This position ensures products are delivered to the Dispensaries with outstanding service in a positive and friendly environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, secure, and professional delivery services.
- Checks and ensures orders are fulfilled and accurately packed for shipment.
- Maintains and safely operates delivery vehicles.
- Uploads documentation of delivery, maintenance, and compliance forms via paper copy or into proper electronic databases.
- Exhibits polite, professional driving etiquette.
- Follows specific routes and adheres to industry compliant turn-by-turn trip plans.
- Performs basic vehicle maintenance checks. (Fluids, tires, damage, engine, and body components).
- Maintains a positive work environment conducive to trust and respect.
- Follows procedures as outlined in onboarding and training.
- Adapts to frequent/last minute adjustments to daily schedule.
- Drives if needed 8+ hours and covers 500+ miles per day in all weather and road conditions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain a state marijuana badge and pass a background check
- Valid Driver’s License with excellent, clean, driving record, CDL experience preferred
- Familiarity with computer and mobile routing software and mapping programs to navigate and complete deliveries
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Must be able to communicate with GDF Team effectively and professionally.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high stress situations
- Ability to work independently and have excellent attendance
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to stay focused
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work overtime hours and on-call shifts
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years commercial driving experience
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
- Sitting 8+ hours each shift, bending, squatting, climbing in and out of vehicle
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
- The ability to work in low light situations
- Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity
- Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
