Job Description
Cultivation Tech I is an entry level position that maintains and completes daily projects assigned by the Cultivation Manager/Supervisor. This position will be responsible for assisting in all areas of grow operations to include potting, manicuring, and harvesting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with grow operations including cleaning, daily activities, quality assurance, potting, manicuring, and harvesting.
- Cleans in and around cultivation areas daily, including but not limited to floors, walls, tables, equipment and sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, sanitizing.
- Follows compliance procedures mandated by the state licensing requirements.
- Maintains open communication with the management team and other co-workers.
- Maintains a professional attitude towards coworkers and management.
- Follows operational guidelines, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
- Completes all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Completes assigned tasks, projects, and expectations in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check
- Must be able to communicate with GDF Team effectively and professionally
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high stress situations
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to multitask
- Organizational skills
- Ability to stay focused
- Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Available to work weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to work in 80+ and humid environment
Education and Experience Requirements
- High School degree or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time
- The ability to work in bright/hot/humid conditions
- The ability to work in high CO2 environments
- The ability to use a half face respirator
- The ability to complete fine motor functions
- The ability to work in low light situations
- Lifting, standing, sitting, walking, bending, reaching, push/pull, repetitive use of hands, grasping use of hands, visual activity
- Exposure to limited hazardous chemicals
- Must be able to go up and down a ladder repeatedly.
