Lead Provider Position (PA or NP)

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years’ experience as Nurse Practitioner (“NP”) or Physician Assistant (“PA”) Provider in an Urgent Care or Emergency Department.
  • Demonstrated exceptional ability to lead and work with patients, peers, staff, and administrators to continuously improve the environment and delivery of care.
  • Willingness to be a part of expanding developing system of Urgent Care Clinics affiliated with and medically directed by UCSF.

Oversee the NP and PA Providers of Golden Gate Urgent Care (“GGUC”) including, but not limited to:

  • ​Oversee the quality of care delivered at Golden Gate Urgent Care Clinics, in conjunction with the UCSF Medical Director.
  • Be an active member of the Senior Management team and participate in weekly meetings.
  • Work with the UCSF Medical Director on educational monthly meetings and other educational opportunities within UCSF.
  • Oversee the administrative scheduler who is primarily responsible for creating the Provider schedule for all clinics.
  • Partner with the Medical Director to hire, interview, onboard, and train new Providers.
  • Conduct introductory and annual performance reviews of PAs and NPs and deliver feedback.
  • Oversee the peer review and chart review process and assure feedback and improvement opportunities.
  • Periodically monitor and balance the salaried providers hours worked to ensure that they are fulfilling their clinical obligations.
  • Process provider time cards and time off requests.
  • Work with GGUC ownership, UCSF Medical Director, and Providers to provide the best balance of Provider coverage for quality patient care and financial viability of the organization.
  • Participate in an administrative on call schedule to handle unexpected administrative concerns.
  • Represent the Providers with their concerns to clinical and administrative leadership.
  • Treat urgent care patients when working clinical shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
