UX Research Specialist

You are passionate about observing people to uncover their deep needs and values. You are natural in interviewing people to understand what their lives are about and interacting with clients to help them better articulate their challenges. You have a curious mind and easily make connections between diverse fields and industries. You use this diverse input to illuminate new insights for new or existing services, products and/or features.
1 - 2 years of professional work experience conducting, moderating and managing usability tests with a prototype or creative visioning as stimulus
This is inclusive of gathering objectives, creating the approach, moderating and synthesizing findings.
Deliverables often include: participant screeners, discussion guide/approach outlines, findings reports, and research readouts.
Experience with a variety of other qualitative research methodologies is a plus, such as 1:1 interviews (IDI), moderating group conversations, contextual inquiry, ethnographic research, onsite/offsite.
Work with internal and external clients: product managers, designers, engineers, research team, account managers, and strategists.
You have experience working within a variety of industries (finance is a plus).
BA/BS in Human Factors/HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, or related field or equivalent practical experience. MA preferred.
