The Content Writer/Strategist supports the production of content efforts to ensure that content is useful, usable, well-structured and easily found, working under moderate guidance and reviewing the work of more junior team members. This position is responsible for executing projects, including assisting with the production of content guidelines, assessments, models, plans, architectures or frameworks.

Essential Job Functions

  • Writes user interface copy and delivers low, medium, or high fidelity copy for projects, ensuring copy tone and style are consistent with client brand and style guidelines

  • Produces wireframe copy, content assessments, models, plans, architectures or frameworks or more specific content strategy documentation, such as for personalization or authoring and reviews the work of more junior team members

  • Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary team, business stakeholders and others within the organization to consult, review and craft meaningful, clear language to guide users through an experience 

  • Translates concepts into effective messages and content approaches, applying consumer insight to creating consumer content

  • Creates various copy deliverables (e.g. copy decks, content matrices) associated with the production of digital products

  • Champions team members across the organization as the ambassador of the design language, inspiring them to always think of the end user first and pushing them to craft better experiences by leveraging best practices


  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Library Science or related field or comparable experience.

  • Ability to grasp complex ideas, then effectively translate benefits into easy-to-understand business value language for end-users.

  • Solid understanding of content best practices, including active voice, customer focus and benefit-driven messaging that resonates with target audience.

  • Knowledge of content strategy and a good understanding of grammar and business writing

  • Good understanding of content strategy principles and processes

  • An impeccable eye for spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, naming conventions and details.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience 

  • Experience in a content strategy role, or similar

  • Experience collaborating with design and technology teams to develop engaging concepts

  • Experience in financial sector
