Right now we are seeking an exceptional Senior Product Strategist to join our Consulting team that is presently working with one of our clients in the automation engineering industry. This position is primarily based in New York (downtown), with regular (roughly once a month) travel across the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic lead on large, complex, high risk assignments, often multidisciplinary in nature, delivering on time and on budget, in line with project and client requirements.

  • Act as a CX/UCD evangelist, seeking opportunities and creating initiatives to inspire clients and build long-standing, consultative, senior relationships.

  • Guide product consulting efforts, including product discovery, product strategy planning and go‐to‐market strategy development.

  • Collaborate with business, design and technical teams to thoroughly understand market needs and product requirements.  

  • Represent the product in the design and development process, ensuring product integrity throughout the product lifecycle.    

  • Author product documentation, including product strategies, product roadmaps and market analysis

  • Communicate product concepts to both highly technical and non‐technical audiences at all organizational levels.

  • Define internal tools and processes for Product Management and Customer Experience Consulting

  • Participation in pre sales and business development actively seeking new opportunities.

  • Lead sound agile product management/ownership aspects and tasks such as vision, inception, product strategy, release plan, backlog management, agile requirements, lifecycle management and change management.

  • Serves as client advocate, providing expertise to technical and business audiences to help resolve client or team issues as well as highlighting risks.

  • Lead new business pitches from new and existing accounts.

  • Participates in thought leadership exercises and suggests opportunities for improvement.

  • Participates in the staffing of new teams or new open positions.

Our ideal senior product strategist:

  • Must have 5+ years of experience in product management, product manager, implementation experience or consulting

  • Must have worked in agile projects in the last 4 years

  • Experience as Scrum Master (CSM), Product Owner, Product Consultant and/or UX Consultant desired

  • Background in engineering or industrial automation highly desirable

  • Experience as a Developer, Technical Manager or Technical Consultant desired

  • Must have experience delivering software or services in large organizations.

  • Must have experience in customer research - ideally both qualitative and quantitative

  • Must have strong experience in facilitation and leading large workshops

  • Must have a passion for technology

  • Is comfortable ‘being thrown in the deep end’ and navigating complex and ambiguous challenges
