Summary of the role

Purpose: We require a full time Sales Ledger (Fulfilment) assistant to integrate into our busy department at Tier 2 level, supporting the teams in both our UK and Belgian offices.

Reporting into: Fulfilment Manager

Location: Maidstone

Nature of employment: Permanent

Contractual hours: 37.5 hours per week

Reports: This role does not have people management responsibilities.

Travel: Occasional

Flexible working: We are hybrid working and would consider remote working with occasional office visits or other flexible working arrangements as long as you permanently reside in England

Background checks: Due to the trusted nature of our business, you will be required to undertake identity and background checks, including criminal record checks and qualifications, and periodic reviews of trustworthiness. Main job responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Identify, process and allocate sales receipts
  • Update available credit in the ordering system
  • Weekly merchant journals
  • Weekly bulk allocations
  • Monitor accounts inbox
  • Create cases in the CRM (Salesforce)
  • Resolve Tier 2 customer queries (incoming via phone and email)
  • Work as part of the team to achieve timely month end closure
  • Filing & Archiving
  • Ad-hoc / Administrative duties as required
  • Responsibility for complying with company policies and procedures, including but not limited to information security and acceptable use, and for undertaking mandatory in-house company training as required.
  • Undertake other job responsibilities and accountabilities within the remit of the job role as and when these may arise.

Person specification

Essential

  • Good working/practical experience in sales ledger
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work with accuracy
  • Strong MS Office Skills
  • Advanced Excel Skills – eg. creating and editing formulas, sorting cell ranges, creating and amending charts, naming a range, linking data, filtering data,
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • Flexible approach

Desirable

  • Level 3 AAT qualification or equivalent / qualified by experience
  • A second European language would be advantageous.
