About Us:

Global Cooling, Inc. is a rapidly growing company that manufactures and sells Stirling Ultracold freezers, a new generation of environmentally friendly ultra-low temperature freezers which operate at or below -80°C. These freezers do not use compressor-based or cascade refrigeration systems. They use patented free-piston Stirling engine technology developed for critical energy, aerospace and industrial applications.

We currently have a need to fill a permanent, full-time, Inside Sales Manger position at our new Columbus, Ohio location.

Summary:

The chosen candidate will be responsible for opening and building out our new inside sales office in Columbus Ohio, supporting customers around the globe.  This person will lead the opening and staffing of our new office in the renown Smith Brothers Hardware Building. The Inside Sales Manager will play a key role in the leadership of the sales organization and be instrumental in developing the sales strategies and tools for the insides sales team to successfully create and implement tools to generate new demand and support existing customers.  The Inside Sales Manager territory sales and service goals for a new team of Inside Sellers and is responsible for lead distribution, acquiring new business from existing accounts, supporting the field based Regional Sales Managers, and customer retention. The position manages a staff of Inside Sales Representatives and reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Achieve sales targets from existing and new accounts.

Lead the execution of company sales plan as a key member of the management team.

Contribute to annual territory goal setting and revenue planning.

Develop sales forecasts to assist planning efforts with Purchasing and Production.

Cultivate, log, distribute and track incoming sales leads.

Develop and manage utility and other rebate programs for energy efficient laboratory equipment and  ensure the field sales managers and distributors are aware of and using these programs to help sell. 

Keep a current practical knowledge of markets, competitors, and principal business headwinds and tailwinds.

Identify new product and service opportunities.

Ensure sure that all customers have current, relevant product and pricing information.

Maintain accurate customer information.

Manage our CRM tool, including dashboards and reports.

Work closely with marketing to ensure well-coordinated and executed calling campaigns and other  sales related activities domestically and internationally.   

 

Run an effective inside sales and customer service team that delights customers.

Provide high quality customer service to customers while handling their order-to-cash transactions,including resolution of customer concerns, within one business day.

Manage daily customer needs regarding bid response, product selection, quotations, technical specifications, prices, order acknowledgements, shipping confirmations, and contact information.

Ensure that all emails, calls, live chats, web forms, and faxes are promptly answered.

Log and resolve customer requests, concerns, Return Goods Authorizations, and complaints within one business day.

Train staff in the use of customer CRM tool, online meetings (GoToMeeting or Skype) and other unique sales tools and processes.

Implement pricing strategy developed by Product Management.

Continuously improve communication within the team and among cross-functional partners.

Analyze productivity metrics and provide reports as required.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent.

Minimum 10 years business experience, knowledge of manufacturing and B2B channels preferred.

Minimum five years coaching and developing staff.

Minimum five years in sales, sales management, and customer service, inside sales experience preferred.

Proficiency with diverse digital platforms and customer portals.
