About Our Jr. Graphic Designer Position:

A Jr. Graphic Designer at GiveGab is a talented entry-level graphic designer that helps create assets and materials for our clients to further their fundraising missions and assists our Design Manager with designing an attractive, modern platform and website. This person is hardworking, a creative problem-solver with a willingness to learn, is highly collaborative, can receive and take instruction, and is team-oriented and friendly.

They are responsible for collaborating with our Marketing, Sales, Product Development, and Customer Success teams to create, improve, and maintain assets for our customers as well as our website and platform.

The Jr. Graphic Designer works with the Design Manager and Graphic Designer to brand client Giving Day websites and create marketing and promotional materials including graphics for social media platforms. Basic coding skills, such as HTML and CSS are necessary to assist in designing web pages.   This position reports to the Design Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in feature conceptualization, design, and development.

  • Create and edit flyers, brochures, web graphics, business cards, html pages, etc. for our clients

  • Works closely with the Design Manager and Graphic Designer on creating fun and interactive design elements and assets for our web/mobile site, company social media outlets, as well as our GiveGab clients

  • Collaborate with the Marketing and CS departments

  • Assist the Design Manager and Marketing team to come up with attractive and effective ad and social media campaigns

  • Create well-executed designs in an efficient manner

  • Be able to create logo designs and branding for specific client needs

  • Assist in the design of client branding and web design, as well as web and print graphics

  • Use basic HTML and CSS to create web pages for GiveGab and our clients

Key Requirements:

  • BFA, BA or Associates in Graphic Design 

  • 1-2 years of professional design experience (design experience from college is acceptable)

  • Experienced knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign

  • Working knowledge of Dropbox, HTML and CSS

  • Positive, supportive, able to take criticism and instruction, fast and efficient, team player, communicative

  • Be able to complete tight turnarounds and go from one task to another in a limited amount of time

Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of social media, accessibility and responsive design

  • Working knowledge or experience with After Effects, Airtable, Canva, S3 Management, Bootstrap, Flexbox, Hubspot, and Mailchimp,

  • Desire to learn new skills to further design capabilities  

  • Ability to create and edit videos and motion graphics  

*Our offices are based in Ithaca, NY, but given the current state of the country and health concerns, this position is remote.  This is an entry level, hourly, position.
