RN - Practice Manager

Job Description

Our ideal candidate will...

Will be responsible for the day-to-day effective and efficient operation of the assigned practice.  This position collaborates with the Medical Director, COO, Director of Nursing, Clinical Educator, and Business Services Administrator to assure that the designated practice operates in a manner consistent with GFHS’s mission and strategic plan. The Practice Manager ensures that staffing needs are met, supplies are available and accessible to the care team and that quality patient care and customer satisfaction remain central to the activities of all employees at the practice site. The Practice Manager is responsible for directing, supporting, and coordinating clinical services.  Core job duties are operational, financial, clinical and supervisory.

Experience

Education: RN / BSN Preferred.

Experience:  Three years of supervisory experience.  Three years of ambulatory care experience.

Professional Licensure/Certification(s): Unrestricted North Carolina Licensed Registered Nurse

Additional Skills Required:  Outstanding interpersonal relationship building skills; ability to mentor; guide and motivate direct reports through demonstration of best practices and leading by example.  Must be able to work in a fast paced, outpatient setting and exert average physical effort.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Must have competency in delivering exceptional nursing care and have proven success in partnering with physician and staff.  Must be able to function as part of a team. Highly developed skills using personal computer tools including computerized health information systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation applications.  Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.  Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and produce expected outcomes.  Ability to involve others in identifying goals and priorities.  Builds and maintains relationships.  Ability to work with indirect supervision and autonomy.  Knowledge of health care medical procedures, including terminology.  Attentiveness to detail.  Ability to prioritize duties and delegate responsibilities.  Ability to use protective equipment and respond to emergency situations.
