Corporate Marketing Manager

Job Description

Department:    Orem based Office With some travel required to Southern Utah and Salt Lake City, Utah


The Corporate Marketing Manager position is professional position. This person will manage in three key areas, namely: 1- Maintaining relationships and consistent contacts with Municipal, District and Private Engineers.  2- Identified new product and existing products that require educational focus in marketing efforts. 3-Working with Corporate Sales Manager to coordinate sales team marketing efforts as needed to accomplish corporate strategic directional goals as set forth by the Executive Committee and Marketing Manager.

These Areas of responsibilities are key to the success of the Corporate Vision and Mission.

Reports To: The Company President

  • Will attend a regular weekly planning and review meeting.
    • Review schedule that will insure all developments on each responsibility assigned to the Marketing Manager.
    • Review potential customers and projects.
    • Review continuous improvement feedback as received by customers.
    • Will attend a Bi-Weekly Executive Team meeting to discuss Company Strategy and Directions to accomplish company mission.


    • Maintain sound strict financial responsibility for corporate and individual marketing budgets.
    • Communicate and coordinate with CFO to create an annual budget.
      • Insure budgets are sound, complete and effectively disciplined for appropriate marketing activities.
    • Review monthly and report marketing expenses with CFO and President.
  • Communication and Document Management (Google Docs and Titan):
    • Maintain a daily support to each customer and/or Engineer as the primary contact for all potential projects in design and pre-construction phase as well as shepherd relationships with large projects design build team needs.
    • Insure all State, Municipal and Private Engineers are receiving appropriate contact, communication and service.
      • Insure appropriate Geneva Pipe Team Members are included in consulting and specification processes.
    • Opportunity List (Google Docs): Maintain and review daily a Marketing Opportunity Tab in the Opportunity List.
      • Teach and promote use of this document with the Sale Manager to insure potential work and opportunities are documented and managed.
      • Manage the list with accurate and critical contact information to insure all information is managed as potential projects develop.
    • Project Folder Maintenance (Google Docs): Maintain and use a folder under marketing which includes preliminary design information, emails and documents within potential project folders.
    • Stay informed daily on all sales activity through open communication with each salesman daily.
    • Understand and know all products that are offered by Geneva Pipe.
    • Understand and know all competing products and accurately portray all products with honesty and positive critical data to show the good of Geneva Pipe products.
    • Insure all quote preparing are accomplished in a standard cohesive process which is done the same predictable way every time.
    • Insure all Marketing Documents and Folder management are accomplished in a standard cohesive process which is done the same predictable way every time.


  • In addition, the Corporate Marketing Manager is the go-to source and primary contact to direct customers and potential projects to the correct information source.
    • Marketing will maintain detailed knowledge about our products.
      • Understand competitive product pricing and differences in installation costs comparative to other products.
      • Knowledge of short and long term advantages of Geneva Pipe products.
      • Be primary source for knowledge and the means and resource to help potential projects determine correct and accurate use of our products.

  • Understanding of specific plant capabilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to multi-task.
  • Use Excel, Word, Titan and Google Docs efficiently and accurately.

Education Requirements:

Associate degree; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school and two years of related work experience; or three years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation: Salary negotiable based on qualifications
