Office Assistant - part-time

Administrative | Rockville, MD | Part Time | From $20.00 to $22.00 per hour

Job Description

The Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS®, one of the largest local REALTOR® associations in the U.S., represents more than 11,000 REALTOR® members from Washington, DC and Montgomery County, MD, as well as industry-related professionals who follow the real estate business. We are the local voice for real estate, and we provide resources for members to succeed. It is our goal to provide outstanding value and exceptional service to our members and communities.

The Office Assistant will be professional and courteous while communicating with our members via email, telephone or in person. They will greet members, potential members, and guests and provide exceptional customer service.

**This position’s work hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00a.m. to 3:00p.m.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the frontline representative to answer member phone calls
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner with colleagues, members and general public
  • Troubleshoot members’ needs to find a resolution in a positive, professional way
  • Be competent in basic member services and education tasks
  • Assist with members’ SentriKey® app, and lockbox needs
  • Assist our members’ annual dues billings needs
  • Assist with maintaining accurate information in various databases (such as Rapattoni, SentriLock, and NAR/M1)
  • Provide support to the REALTOR® store, if needed
  • Provide support to the front Member Services area, if needed
  • Maintain general inventory of the office and member services area supplies
  • Product support to room rentals, if needed
  • Ensures the Member Services Director is apprised of all concerns or issues
  • Be a team player, and assist in other departments when requested by supervisor
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience in a customer service position
  • Being a self-starter, who can work independently
  • Being highly organized and detail oriented
  • Must have good written and phone communication skills
  • Having exceptional listening skills and patience
  • Having a strong customer service skill set, with the ability to speak concisely and effectively
  • Has knowledge and has used Microsoft office applications; experience with databases a plus
  • Must be able to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 30 pounds
